NYC New York Bridal Fashion Week - Irina Shabayeva


New York City – The season six winner of Project Runway, Irina Shabayeva, will debut her latest collection at an anti-human trafficking event for New York Bridal Fashion Week.
The Georgian-born and Brooklyn-raised designer will premiere the bridal collection onSaturday, April 25. The event is being co-produced with The Set NYC and Freedom Ladder, a not-for-profit organization.  Proceeds from the event will support Freedom Ladder in its mission to end human trafficking. It will take place at the Holy Apostles Ballroom, with doors opening at 6:30pm.  Address is 296 9th ave, by 28th street.  $30 door. 

“My latest bridal collection celebrates femininity and beauty, and Freedom Ladder is working to protect and empower women,” said Ms. Shabayeva. “I think it’s wonderful that this event brings us together, and I’m honored to work with Freedom Ladder to help put and end to human trafficking.”

April 25 exhibitions include Marie Claire featured bridal designer Kristin Costa, Celebrity jeweler Avianne & Co. (Ciara, Bow Wow, US Weekly), designer/artistYeoyo Yun, artist Emily Briggs, designer Nicolasa Cicero (creator of Snooki's brooch bouquet),  press by Elucid Fashion and Lifestyle Magazine, jewelry designer Lauren Chisholm (ABC World News),  fashion designer  Jane Noriega (Dark Beauty Magazine), photograhper Valeriya Kokushkina,  Encypher Music, and sponsorships by Origami Owl, VU Hair and World Bride Magazine.  Music by Joe Terra.  Kitchen by Noel's Catering.  

Ms. Shavayeva, who has created pieces for Madonna, Kelly Clarkson, Selena Gomez and others, will also show with other artists and designers, including bridal and evening wear designer Kristin Costa.  Widely recognized for her win on Project Runway in November of 2009, Shabayeva will be showing under her own collection The Set NYC Bridal Fashion Week Show in 2015.
