Paris Fashion Week - Dior AW17
50 shades of blue? Is that what creative director Maria Grazia Churi was going with for the Dior AW17 collection, showcased last week at Paris Fashion week? We definitely think so. The collection was predominantly dark blue, so it is safe to say, that will be a trending top to toe colour next season.
Churi interestingly stated that choice of blue was actually paying homage to the house of Dior. he said the reason behind her colour choice for the collection was that navy blue was in fact the house founder, Christian Dior's favourite colour. Additionally, many pieces were reworked versions of archive designs.
The collection was comprised of many wearable, and street style worthy pieces. We also feel there is a strong, military vibe to the collection that is very empowering for women. We also love the berets that accompanied each outfit on the runway.
