Dior takes Tokyo - Runway report

Runway Report

Dior Tokyo Presentation

This week Parisian Fashion house Dior, opened its new flagship store in Tokyo with a spectacle show on top of the Ginza Six Mall in Tokyo. New designs (total of 8) that compliment the earlier 2017 couture show, in paris were presented, designed by the label's creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri.
Alike the earlier show, there was a fairytale, secret garden theme running through with fairytale ballgowns with stunning embellishment and statement headdresses. The runway itself was a carpet of green with trees decorated with ribbons, that really gave the fairy garden theme it's edge, just like the paris show. The colour palette was mostly pastel pinks, a stark contrast to the most recent AW17 ready to wear collection shown in paris during fashion month, with the odd "dark fairy" ensemble added in.
