Next Tuesday, the 27th, sees The IFI welcome Rory O'Neill (aka Panti Bliss) to introduce their June 'Bigger Picture' screening, Ronald Neame's The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie. The film has been a huge influence on Rory and his work, so this is a rare opportunity to hear him speak about this beloved piece of classic cinema.
The Dustin Hoffman Retrospective wraps up this weekend with five incredible performances from the great man himself: the brilliant (and always topical) All the President's Men plays this Thursday at 18.20, crime drama Straight Time shows on Friday evening, the 23rd, at 20.40, while the sparkling comedy Tootsie makes a welcome return on Saturday 24th at 18.00. Sunday 25th provides a double-whammy, as Hoffman's two Oscar-winning performances show back-to-back: Kramer Vs. Kramer at 16.00 and Rain Man at 18.10.
