Friends Trip to Vienna 2010

Thursday, October 7 – Sunday, October 11

The Friends of the RHA are invited on an art filled weekend to visit the beautiful city of Vienna led by RHA Director Patrick T. Murphy and Friends Co-ordinators, Michelle Considine and Rebecca Gale. We will be visiting some of Vienna’s leading galleries and contemporary spaces throughout the three days such as the Secession, the Mak Museum and Kunsthistorisch Museum, MUMOK and we will also tour some of the smaller contemporary galleries throughout Vienna. We are hoping to gain access to some private collections also and will have details of these closer to the date. As one of the highlights of the trip, we will be given an exclusive tour of artist John Gerrard’s studio. Gerrard is one of Ireland’s leading contemporary artists and has kindly invited the Friends into his studio for a tour and talk on his work.

Hotel and flight are up to the Friends to organise themselves but if you would like any assistance please contact Michelle in the gallery (01) 6612558 /

Our flight and hotel details are as follows:

We are flying with Aer Lingus

Thursday 7th Departs Dublin 7.20am – Arrives Vienna 11.10am

You will find images and maps on for these hotels also.

There is a cover charge of €150 per Friend to take part in the trip and if you would like any more information please contact Michelle (01) 6612558/ If you are interested in joining us please confirm your booking as soon as possible to guarantee your place.
