The perfect weekend - Dalkey Book Festival & Coliemore Harbour

The perfect weekend - Dalkey Book Festival & Coliemore Harbour

The Dalkey Book Festival took place from the 14th to the 17th of June, and was a very enjoyable weekend as experienced by Pynck!

Pynck started the day at the Corner Note Cafe before walking to Coliemore Road to see the beautiful Coliemore Harbour. Breakfast from the Corner Note Cafe pictured below - scrumptious!

On the topic of food - The Club Lounge served as a perfect pitstop for lunch on the way back - featuring live football.

Below are some very impressive original cottages on Coliemore Road.

The harbour itself has lots to see and do - highlights include the lighthouse, relaxing walks, fishing, Dalkey Island with its martello tower, and boats for hire!

There were numerous highlights on the land too, such as this pretty historic house on Coliemore Road:

What better way to spend the fine weather walking around this charming area - an amazingly relaxing and refreshing way to spend the weekend, highly recommended!

Elle Fanning in the new drama Mary Shelley this Sunday morning

Elle Fanning in the new drama Mary Shelley this Sunday morning
Acclaimed director Haifaa Al-Mansour (Wadjda) brings to life Mary Wollstonecraft Godwin's fiery, tempestuous relationship with romantic poet Percy Bysshe Shelley, and the creation of Frankenstein, one of the world's most famous Gothic novels.

The pair are two outsiders constrained by polite society but bound together by a natural chemistry and progressive ideas that are beyond the boundaries of their age and time. Mary (Ellie Fanning) and Percy (Tom Sturridge) declare their love for each other and much to her family's horror they run away together, joined by Mary's half-sister Claire (Bel Powley).
