Street style at Milan Fashion Week 2018

Street style at Milan Fashion Week 2018
We can’t help but applaud and drool over the style these men have been effortlessly flaunting on the streets of Milan. From plaid coats to perfectly tailored suits, streets of Milan over this month have been a ramp of their own kind. Check out some smoldering hot men in their best outfits.

Tailored suit with a colorful tie, minimal rim spectacles, maroon pouch that matches shoes – basically everything this man is wearing is on point and in line with today’s fashion line.

Do you remember John Lennon glasses? Take inspiration from this charming young man who knows how to pair a turtleneck right with a wide-collared long coat. This subtle colored outfit is giving us the all the warm and cozy style vibes in style.

Plaids over the shoulder, white shirt, a light brown sweater, and glares – that’s how you bid winters goodbye in style.

The right way to go monochrome and top it off with classic statement shoes.

Loungewear on the streets, trench coats on the streets – it is all happening in style in Milan.

In the words of Yves Saint Loraine, “fashion fades, but the style is eternal”. Never forget that.

RDS Bride of the Year Show - Venues

RDS Bride of the Year Show - Venues
If you're planning on getting married in Ireland, then fear not - as there are many venues available to suit a wide range of needs. With it's natural beauty, Ireland offers a range of beautiful celtic venues, near the capital Dublin or in the countryside in a pretty location. A castle about 1 hour from the capital or near the picturesque west coast near a large Airport allows for Irish as well as overseas couples coming to Ireland.

Irish Hotels

Half the Irish hotels specialise in bridal, but undoubtedly the castles and hotels with character and beautiful scenery win out. With the ultimate wedding destination being Ashford Castle, in the village of Cong, Co. Mayo - where Rory McIlory got married.

For more information visit www.ashfordcastle.com. A fine alternative but on the lower end of the budget spectrum would be cheaper castles in the middle of Ireland like Kilronnan, Co Roscommon.

Pretty Locations near Dublin

Near the seaside, south of Dublin is Kilkenny Castle and the Royal Marine to North Dublin’s Malahide is the Grand Hotel. Then there are many suitable castles and country houses within an hour west of Dublin Airport and the city centre hosting many wedding possibilities and event management skills.

Overseas

Overseas weddings in Spain, Italy and Portugal allows for quaranteed sunshine although guests have to travel. Althernatively, centres like Vegas promise weather , non fuss , and can be seen as a cheaper option.

Pynck gathered this information at the 2018 Bride of the Year Show which was held at the RDS. If you want to follow up with the full listings at the show, be sure to visit www.wed.ie. There's lots of useful information there, and stay tuned for next year!

Diem Pottery

Pottery was well represented, and one of our favourices was the Diem Pottery & Design Studio.  Thomas Diem is a second generation designer and potter. Born in NYC but living in Ireland since he was a child, his first taste of pottery came in his own father’s studio.

Nicholas Mosse

Nicholas Mosse won in his category, and Pynck were taken aback by the lovely clean and colourful designs. Nicholas Mosse Pottery was established by Nicholas Mosse in 1976 after periods of training in England and Japan. His mission was to produce beautiful, functional pottery in the style of Irish Spongeware. Irish spongeware was the traditional pottery of Ireland used in the 18th Century.

Dior gets Surreal - SS18 Couture

Dior gets Surreal - SS18 Couture

Dior

Haute Couture SS18 - Paris

The most decedent time on the fashion calendar is back. Haute Couture. And here we have a breif rundown of the latest Dior show by Maria Grazia Chiuri.

Before the great Christian Dior turned to fashion, the designer ran an art gallery in the 1930s. Within the gallery, the surrealist artist, Leonor Fini, staged her first exhibition. This artist was the inspiration behind the Dior SS18 Haute Couture collection. Fini believed that one expresses themselves through a mask, which is true. We present ourselves with a front we would like people to see, whether this is the expression we wear on our faces or how we dress ourselves. What represents this even more in modern day society is the use of social media, and our beautifully curated instagram grids, which only half represent our lives. It's what we want people to see. It is a digital mask. Chiuri played homage to this belief with the inclusion of beautiful masks worn  with many of the looks within the show.

The looks were also very representative of the style Chiuri has brought to the fashion house. With stunning lingerie inspired bodices, and beautifully constructed tulle skirts. However there is still the classic Dior 'New Look' vibe underlying the collection. Tailoring of course played and important part within the collection, with the power dressing being broken up with feminine lines and exquisite embroidery that is to be expected of a haute couture collection.

Trend Talk: Belt Bags

Trend Talk: Belt Bags

Trend Talk

Belt Bags

This weeks trend talk takes a focus on a bit of a micro trend, but still something that is set to be everywhere.

The new accessory to have is for certain the belt bag! It might seem like a hard thing to style, which is why we are including the trend in our feature. We have got three ways in which you will be able to pull off the belt bag with effortless and chic style. As per usual, we have a casual, smart and then a layered look to help you see how this piece will work perfectly within your wardrobe.

Rather than including three different Belt Bags, we have gone for one. Possibly the bag of the moment, The Gucci GG Marmont matelassé leather belt bag (here). We have styled up the same bag with each of the three looks, so if you were to just buy one accessory to update your wardrobe, this Bag/Belt would be the perfect thing!

1 - Casual

2- Dressy

3- Layering
