JW Anderson Cocktail Dresses AW16 at London Fashion Week
A very sixties style cocktail dresses theme with modern attentive design, JW Anderson created a sort of futurism in creative freedom.
There`s a lot to admire in this collection, folded mini skirt designs with leather capelets, simple gowns with studded belts, dresses with belts and boots and zero sense of longing for retro. The sculpted mini skirts were created by artificial and real hides
JW anderson british fashion awards 2015 took gold for both men and women`s wear design. And this collection was anticipated by a quote from David Hicks, the British-born interiors designer who died in 1998. “The excitement of today is in the freedom of the individual to make his own choices, and the range of possibilities for which he may choose.”
Something really strange about the venue, Yeomanry House on Kenton Street, the hallways were made narrow by partitioning the room with white walls, and with 'David Hicks' quote engraved on the wall, the designer wanted to cage the audience in with the dresses, in order to get absorbed by it.
The Urban Warrior Fashion showstopper Paul Costelloe at the London Fashion Week
The london fashion week started with inspiration from "Mad Max" style warrior clothing for women. Paul Costelloe fashion impressed with the Warrior Women of Mad Max concept style dressage. Among other savvy Irish designers at the london fashion week, crisp, sheer and smooth made eyes roll in this one. From triple layered dress design to sleeveless black sheer long dress, there`s a lot which was not to be missed. We bring to you some handpicked snaps that captures the essence of the show.
The Irishman proving his mettle and influence, Paul Costelloe had two simultaneous celebrity studded shows. Designer Tweed jacket for ladies and over the knee sock outfits showcased his tailoring artistry.

A courageous attempt and a gorgeous outcome by new mum Simone Rocha
Her SS16 collection has already found buyers in Havana in Donnybrook, and is touted absolute stunning, and now coming back from a maternity leave, there was a lot of pressure on Simone Rocha to excel her last attempt. The response was a knock out punch. Droopy pockets, back split, and dropped sleeves along with large size pennier pockets were highlights of the show. As "Tim Banks" puts it "angelic dresses in sheer tulle, delicately embroidered". Here are some exclusive pictures from the show.

Burberry
showed their Autumn /Winter collection on Monday, and it undoubtedly steals the
show.
As arguably
one of the most anticipated shows of London Fashion Week, the show obviously
had an A-list studded front row. Stars including Rosie Huntington-Whitley,
Naomi Campbell, Suki Waterhouse and Alexa Chung were in attendance, kicking off
the show with an entrance alongside other stars on the Burberry red carpet.
Of course
the show was held within the grounds of Kensington Gardens, however the runway
has begun to veer in a more curved fashion, with models striding around the
crowd. A different set up to previous shows at Burberry.
As for this
seasons performer, Jake Bugg was nestled amongst the crowd to play accompaniment
to the collection, which had a very retro, mod feel to it, therefore Jake Bugg
was the perfect choice to play.
Creative
director, Christopher Bailey, said that it was “not a themed show, but all the
things that I love, It’s a patchwork of different things – from Mitford sisters
to military to glam rock.”
Amongst the
collection there was a number of military style overcoats with either red or
gold piping, sequined dresses with huge flowery prints, lots of khaki parkas
and more overcoats, but in large check either a sort of burgundy colour or
khaki.
As for the
accessories, shoes where either in a shoe/boot style, plat formed, topped off
with tassels, of studded biker style boots. Bags were very statement, as following on from
a popular trend seen back at New York Fashion Week, with belt style handles or
shoulder straps, that were often matched up with belts worn over the top of
trench coats.
