Spring 2018 Ready-to-wear Collection - London Fashion Week

If there is one thing for sure, Julien Macdonald definitely hits the mark between less is more and more is more. Every season, we see new and inventive ways in which to place cut outs and covering just about the bare minimum, at the same time as throwing embellishment onto the models for full on glitz and glamour. We kind of feel that the latest collection is somewhat a lingerie and ballgown hybrid. Or if Strictly went to the beach, this is what everyone would be wearing.

Nonetheless, a stunning collection with some serious party vibes to it. We think that the glitz of the collection with translate very nicely onto the high street come next season, and we can all be expecting to wear sequins and cut-outs on our summer nights out. Or better yet, use the collection as the foundation for our inspiration when we jet off and have to curate an Ibiza party wardrobe next summer. Ok, who's excited already!?

Spring/Summer Collection 2018 - London Fashion Week

Koma’s athletic style collection is nod of appreciation to MMA star Conor McGregor.

The entire collection is an ode to boxing- witness the extensive use of leather which hints at boxing gloves, the pop colour tracksuits as well as the lace up heeled trainers. However, Koma retains the fashion edge through the sculptural factor such as of tailored tracksuits with suggestive poppers trailing up the leg, figure hugging dresses and dynamic frills, inspired by as Koma's very own Kerry Vesper sculpture.

Koma is essentially flirting with sport style and as a result it provides his pieces with an attitude – an empowerment of female strength. He creates a hybrid of sports couture through dynamic cuts crossed with femininity as seen in the lace trousers, the sheer pinstripe patterns and generous dash of flesh. The result is sexy.

Pinstripe and leather are the signature design and material of the pieces as it conveys a strength but also a sex appeal. The leather boxing shorts with frills, hooded lace boxing robe  and exposing sports jersey dresses fastened with sparkling beads all amalgamate into a sophisticated collection that whispers- not screams, too cool for that- effortless casual sophistication.

It is what we would imagine Gigi Hadid to throw on before rushing to a Gala Ball after a late night gym session. Who wouldn’t want to look like that?

Autumn Winter 2017-18 - New York Fashion Week

Runway meets racetrack? This is the latest from Ralph Lauren at New York Fashion Week for his FW 17 Collection.

Starting with dogtooth and tweed suiting and fabrics, the collection started with a heritage feel, which very quickly became heritage retro, with the introduction of 60s silhouettes and pops of bright reds and yellows, perfectly complimenting the designers collection of classic cars. The collection also seemed to have taken inspiration from the glamorous and car crazy city of Monte Carlo, with logos across dresses, and also the inclusion of luxe diner jackets alike those you would probably see worn within the Casino Monte Carlo.

Overall the collection is incredibly wearable, something that Ralph Lauren always nails completely. We can see many of these pieces fitting perfectly into your FW wardrobe this year, and we particularly recommend a tweed jacket, to keep you super on trend this season.
