Autumn Beauty Trend: Dusty pinks.

As we have a few weeks left of summer, it is time to start to think about the next season. We have already covered a little in fashion with trends such as military and pink. But this post focuses on a beauty trend that will make a beautiful transition idea from the last few weeks of summer towards colder months.

Summer make up tends to be very natural, bronzed and bright with dewy complexions and lots of highlighter. But Autumn tends to tone that down a bit to bring a more matte look to the complexion with more coverage. Also darker colours on the eyes and lips tend to creep in come autumn.

But why not mix and match seasonal trends? Try using the summery colour pink, washed over eyelids with a more toned down, matte complexion to transition between the seasons.

The Anastasia Beverly Hills palette (here)  has everything you need for a look like this. Blend into the socket and smoke out the pink using a more orange/ brown shade to create a well blended, seamless finish. Add a thin line of a darker shadow at the base of the lashes to create a thinker, more defined lash line.

Pair eye look with a nude/ natural shade of lip colour.

Next Season: Military at Prada

Prada AW 2016/ 17.

The summer season of this year was clearly about Gucci and it's quirky, vintage, boho style. But what will we be seeing next season.

With it's old english heritage/ military feel another Italian fashion house could steal the spotlight again and become everyones coveted collection. In Autumn to Winter this year, expect it to be all about Prada.

Prada AW 16/ 17.

The collection displays many military inspired overcoats, which will be a notable trend next season. Stockings were also a bit statement, so will we see more patterned and out there stockings?

Sailor hats, laced waist sinchers and key motifs.

Sailor hats were worn, with other accessories including laced up waist belts and statement handbags. A key motif to be running through many of the accessories was a key. Keys can be seen on bag charms and hanging from the statement necklaces worn.

Military coats, and statement stockings.

Accessories trend: The choker.

A trend we have been seeing for quite a few years, but I feel that recently it has been stepped up a little bit. A few years ago, chokers began to surface as an accessories trend with 90s revival, and since then, we have seen lace chokers, velvet chokers, delicate chokers, just about anything that you can wear around your neck. But recently, there has been seeing a few pieces that are really statement and out there.

Here are a selection of pieces to add into your accessories drawer to keep you up to date with the trend.

Firstly, we saw corsage style neckpieces on the Gucci runway. Of course Gucci has really had its moment this year with the new creative director Allessandro Michelle. We found some more reasonable pieces at Asos.com.

A second trend that has been cropping up is the large velvet band chocker.

Another style of the choker trend is the jewelled choker, great for adding a dazzling statement to a classic, simple outfit.

And lastly, a grungy take on the choker.
