Key Collections of Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2017/18

Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2017-2018 was held in June showcasing some of the household names in the fashion world at Milan including Ralph Lauren and Prada – All designers at the Milan Fashion Week had one thing in common, that is they all defied trends. They all went for new cuts, fancy material including fur and blousy baroque prints. So without any further delay let’s explore what these designers had to offer: Ralph Lauren’s Purple Label at Milan Fashion Week: the brand had a pretty much 360 degree approach when it came to suiting men in the most elegant designs while using fabrics that felt light – including silk and linen chambray suits that seemed perfect for both the fashion police as well as the weather.

Another Ralph Lauren outfit featuring the lighter tones from head to toe, making it the perfect ensemble for spring. Ralph Lauren’s tailored blazers and suits in numerous shades of blue: perfect for European gentlemen who are juggling between boardroom meetings and vacations. Marini: SS18 was all about layers. This collection played with colors and patched stripe shirts throughout the showcased outfits. It brought back the 90s accessories in a matter of fact manner as most models were styled in hi- tops. Salvatore Ferragamo: our designer here tried to bring the actual short shorts back into the fashion world and most obviously into our wardrobes as well. Ferragamo’s collection featured camel shades that were paired with contrasting evergreen and ever loved shades of blue. Missoni: Angela Missoni celebrated 20 years of the brand this year. Missoni’s collection featured outfits that were inspired by “the urban gardener” and drew on colors from travel photographer Erwin Fieger’s Japan: Sunrise-Island. The collection was a breath of fresh air with its summery colors and tailored shorts. That’s all folks from Milan Fashion Week for Summer, see you again in soon!
