Alta Moda - Palermo
As the Parisienne Haute Couture week ended, it was the Italians turn to churn out some of the most coveted wearable art. Down in Palermo, the D&G duo showcased their new Alta Moda collection, and of course, in true Dolce and Gabbana style, the collection was a perfect blend of regal, sporty and street. Models walked in intricate gowns as well as silky kimono's and bomber jackets, still embroidered up to look like clothing fit for a royal. The stand out piece of the show has to be the carnival inspired dress, accessorised with show girl esque feather plumes within the headdress. Also, Dolce and Gabbana always make a thing of their headwear, and this collection was no exception, with crowns, flower crowns, jewelled headphones and feathers.
