Ladies International Polo Tournament at Ballyhenry Estate

Pynck made the most of the weekend by heading south of Dublin to Ballyhenry Estate, and the entertainment started with Polo.

Ireland was playing the USA, and Ireland won on the day.

There was a second exciting game - The Rest of the World played against Ireland. The Rest of the World were too strong for Ireland on the day, and won that one.

A fund raiser also took place that day - a game featuring the jockeys versus the trainers. It was another entertaining watch, which the jockeys won. The funds raised went to injured jockeys.

There may be an argument to say that the jockeys and trainers match was a draw only playing two chukkas at a score of one all. Below you can watch some of the action from early on in the day.

Soon after the action, preparations were underway to create an unforgettable evening:

Sponsors of the International Ladies Polo Tournament included the amazing Irish handcrafted Silver Spear Dry Gin (www.silverspeargin.com), Audi Sport, Kildare VillageThe Charles Hurst Group, Godolphin, Horse Racing Ireland and Horse Sport Ireland. Gerald Keen, the well known Irish scholar, presented prizes at the raffle and auction in aid of injured jockeys.

All in all, another fantastic Polo-centric weekend. If you would like to find out more information on upcoming Polo events, then checkout the official website, www.polowicklow.com.
