The Girl and The Goose Restaurant, Ballsbridge

Pynck recently found a lovely restaurant in Ballsbridge, Dublin - it's upstairs and it's called The Girl and The Goose.

The desserts are simply delicious. We had a wonderful rhubarb and strawberry crumble (pictured below) and Earl Grey tea speciality of the house.

A fabulous treat and a real winter warmer on a cold Saturday afternoon. Pynck highly recommends it!!

The above video gives a sample of the atmosphere - very relaxed and incredibly enjoyable. For more information visit their official website, www.girlandthegooserestaurant.ie,  or check out their menu here.

ZUMA NEW YORK CITY

In New York soon? Check out Zuma at 261 Madison Avenue. Zuma, founded by Rainer Becker is a modern, Japanese inspired restaurant, totally worth the hype and a visit if in the city.

Zuma has a brilliant location, in midtown Manhattan, close to Grand Central Station. With it’s modern, Zen interior, the restaurant has a great atmosphere to accompany the amazing menu. Check here for location.

With three kitchens, there are many options that include cold, grilled and sushi dishes. A real stand out dish is the ‘ebi no tempura’, which is rock shrimp with a side of lime and chili mayo. It is amazing!

The restaurant has a bar lounge upstairs, where food is also served. For a more chilled out and casual experience, I would suggest booking a table to sit in the lounge. The resident DJ plays in the bar and lounge Monday – Saturday from 19-30, so it makes a good location to stay and have a drink after the meal and experience the atmosphere further. The bar has a brilliant selection of cocktails too.

For further menu information and booking information visit Zuma’s website here.
