In New York
soon? Check out Zuma at 261 Madison Avenue. Zuma, founded by Rainer Becker is a
modern, Japanese inspired restaurant, totally worth the hype and a visit if in
the city.
Zuma has a brilliant
location, in midtown Manhattan, close to Grand Central Station. With it’s
modern, Zen interior, the restaurant has a great atmosphere to accompany the
amazing menu. Check here for location.
With three
kitchens, there are many options that include cold, grilled and sushi dishes. A
real stand out dish is the ‘ebi no tempura’, which is rock shrimp with a side
of lime and chili mayo. It is amazing!
The
restaurant has a bar lounge upstairs, where food is also served. For a more
chilled out and casual experience, I would suggest booking a table to sit in
the lounge. The resident DJ plays in the bar and lounge Monday – Saturday from
19-30, so it makes a good location to stay and have a drink after the meal and
experience the atmosphere further. The bar has a brilliant selection of
cocktails too.
