SHOWCASE IRELAND FASHION SHOW 2012
Showcase Ireland featured a number of guest designers such as John Rocha ,Eilis Boyle,Paul Costelloe and Joanne Hynes .Other Irish names ,Fisherman out of Ireland, Carraig Don, Lisa Ryder,Bonzie,Mad For Hats,Hope and Benson and Jennifer Rothwell created a very modern picture of ancient Irish craft and design.The flowing chiffon matched with modern Irish woollen designs brings us into a very modern world of craft. Well done to Showcase Ireland !

RHA UPCOMING TOUR TO VIENNA
Friends Trip to Vienna 2010
Thursday, October 7 – Sunday, October 11
The Friends of the RHA are invited on an art filled weekend to visit the beautiful city of Vienna led by RHA Director Patrick T. Murphy and Friends Co-ordinators, Michelle Considine and Rebecca Gale. We will be visiting some of Vienna’s leading galleries and contemporary spaces throughout the three days such as the Secession www.secession.at, the Mak Museum www.mak.at and Kunsthistorisch Museum http://www.khm.at, MUMOK www.mumok.at and we will also tour some of the smaller contemporary galleries throughout Vienna. We are hoping to gain access to some private collections also and will have details of these closer to the date. As one of the highlights of the trip, we will be given an exclusive tour of artist John Gerrard’s studio. Gerrard is one of Ireland’s leading contemporary artists and has kindly invited the Friends into his studio for a tour and talk on his work.
Hotel and flight are up to the Friends to organise themselves but if you would like any assistance please contact Michelle in the gallery (01) 6612558 / friends@rhagallery.ie.

Thursday 7th Departs Dublin 7.20am – Arrives Vienna 11.10am
Sunday 10th Departs Vienna 11.10am - Arrives Dublin 1.35pm
We will be staying in the Austrotel Hotel Viennart currently around €260 for a single room
for the 3 nights including breakfast. We recommend booking this through www.otel.com. This hotel is in the Museum Quarter and we also recommend the InterCityHotel Vienna, which is close by.
You will find images and maps on www.otel.com for these hotels also.
If Friends wish to join us for lunch and dinner they are more than welcome and we will take bookings for these and organise restaurants when we have all the numbers. Also details for the smaller galleries and private collections we will be visiting will be given closer to the event.
